The Board of Zoning Adjustment is a seven member board appointed by the Board of County Commissioners.
They conduct public hearings once a month and make recommendations on land use requests (zoning variances and special exceptions).
The variance and special exception requests must demonstrate compliance with specific variance and special exception criteria.
Surrounding property owners are notified of all BZA public hearings.
All BZA recommendations must be confirmed by the Board of County Commissioners on a consent agenda.
