How to Become a Registered Fast Track User

Members

The following registration instructions cover three types of member accounts: Licensed Contractors, Non-License Holders (such as design professionals and coordinating companies) and Homeowners who have two account type options, Owner-Builder and Fence Permits.

  1. Licensed Contractors

Fast Track Member Services allows licensed contractors the benefits of applying for permits, submitting E-Plans and paying for permit fees online by logging into Fast Track using an email address and password. This service is offered to licensed contractors registered with Orange County Division of Building Safety, in good standing. Before submitting plans and documents, please attend a free Fast Track training session which are held monthly. Submitting plans and documents requires knowledge of the specific requirements of Orange County’s automated document management system. The best way to learn about these requirements is to attend a free class. Please download a copy of the Fast Track User Guide, available on the Fast Track Homepage for reference.

To become a member, please download the registration form. It must be completed and emailed to ContractorLicensing@ocfl.net or brought back to the Division of Building Safety.

    Payment options

OPTION 1: Credit Card: The licensed contractor can submit permits and electronic plans, including paying for any associated fees online, with a credit card with no annual fees. Simply fill out the registration form, and return it to us via email or in-person. Once you have access to Fast Track, you will be able to apply for permits, upload plans, and pay for any associated fees using a credit card.

Please note: Neither our office nor the Fast Track Member Services website will keep/store your credit card information on file. For questions, please contact ContractorLicensing@ocfl.net.

OPTION 2: Escrow account (Annual Fee): The initial set up fee for an escrow account is $182.00. This includes a minimum balance of $150.00 and the first annual maintenance fee of $32.00. Please download the registration form to setup an escrow account.
